The Amselhaus was a great house! The view of the river and mountains was magnificent. We thought that the history of the Amselhaus was really interesting. We liked the decor and antique furniture, especially the piano. I had a great time skiing on the slopes of Mohawk-a nice mountain! Thanks for providing us with this wonderful stay!

We loved our time at The Amselhaus. We've been twice, and each visit was a peaceful retreat. Robin made us feel welcomed after our long trip, and got us settled into her beautiful guesthouse. The decor on both sides of the house is tastefully eclectic, you can tell everything was chosen with care. We especially adored the big, red sofas in the South Haus. Having privacy, space and a fully-appointed guesthouse made our time away feel like a real vacation. Eating dinner on the back porch was delightful. We loved being able to walk down to the river, passing by the Appalachian Trail and watching the fog lift off the mountains in the morning.

Robin is a wonderful host and innkeeper. I can say that with certainty even though I have not stayed at The Amselhaus. My boyfriend was hiking the Appalachian Trail in a terrible rain storm with threat of tornado. Robin drove for 45 minutes trying to find him on the road in the rainstorm, but it turns out that he had taken a ride to a neighboring town. Robin's kindness and graciousness was deeply appreciated - and we will definitely go out of our way to spend a night in her lovely guesthouse in the future.

My son and I really found The Amselhaus to be an ideal getaway spot. Well equipped and comfortable. The view of the river for two fisherman, was a plus. We will be back.
